Department Position Description
Restaurant Fine Dining Server

A successful candidate for this role will be prompt, courteous and hospitable. Previous experience in a fine dining environment and working knowledge of SilverWare POS would be an asset. Candidates must also be well groomed, service orientated and must possess a valid Serving-It-Right Certificate. For more information, click here.

KurSpa Esthetician

Applicants may have a variety of experience and certification in Esthetics, with relative working experience in either a Day Spa setting, or hotel/resort setting. Applicants possessing hospitality or guest services in a spa setting is an asset, but not required. You must have a bona fide certificate from an accredited program in either BC, or Alberta, and can be specialized or experienced in any of the esthetician spectrum. Candidates must be professional and have excellent guest service skills or potential to provide excellent guest services for our hotel guests. For more information, click here.

KurSpa Spa Practitioner

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional guest service skills in addition to possessing experienced Spa Practitioner qualifications and skills. Applicants may have a variety of related experience in the Spa/Beauty profession and sector, with relative working experience in the Spa Sector, or hotel/resort setting. Previous hospitality or guest services experience is an asset but is not required. Candidates must have a bona fide certificate from an accredited program in either BC or Alberta. KurSpa Hair Stylist

The Hair Dresser/Stylist is responsible for providing clients with courteous, professional and creative hair styling services to enhance their personal appearance. He or she will be tasked with performing a variety of hair care services, including but not limited to shampooing, coloring, cutting and styling as directed by each client. The Hair Dresser/Stylist may provide styling recommendations and expert advice regarding the maintenance of hair styles and general cosmetic appearance. For more information, please click here.

Kitchen Pastry Cook

Sparkling Hill Resort is looking to fill the position of Pastry Cook. This individual must have a well rounded knowledge of all areas of the kitchen, with demonstrated experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery. Restaurant Cafe/Lounge Server

This position will work in Barrique & Java Cafe, Sparkling Hill's coffee bar by day and wine lounge by night! A successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and must be comfortable bartending. The Assistant Front Office Manager must demonstrate exceptional guest service ability, and will lead the Front Office Team along with the Front Office Manager to ensure an outstanding experience for our guests. Restaurant Junior Server

Service style is European fine dining and staff will go through an intensive, European training program to host and serve in our resort dining locations: PeakFine Restaurant (seats 240); Barrique & Java (70 seats); Austrian Ballroom for banquets/events (seats 180); and Gernot's private lounge (seats 30). Candidates will be prompt, courteous and hospitable. Candidates must also be well groomed and service orientated. KurSpa Spa Attendant

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional guest service skills – remaining calm and courteous at all times – in addition to being organized, physically fit and able to work well under pressure. Previous spa, hospitality and/or guest services experience is preferred. Candidates will be highly responsible and reliable and be comfortable working independently, with little direct supervision. Front Desk Valet / Bell Person

The Valet/Bell Person position is an important role for the Resort as it’s the first impression for our hotel patrons – walking out to greet and welcome the hotel guests, while assisting with luggage and awaiting check in with the Front Desk Agents. This role also ports the guest's luggage to the room and orientates the guest to the design/layout of the room and ensuring the guests are satisfactorily settled. For more information, click here.

Housekeeping Room Attendant

Candidates must possess a strong desire to provide high levels of service and have a professional and welcoming demeanor. Previous hotel/resort housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required. For more information, click here.

Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher

The role is to work in a large commercial kitchen, operating a conveyor belt dishwashing system, scrubbing pots/pans, sanitizing kitchen area, wash and sweep floors, remove garbage, etc. In addition, general basic cleaning duties in the kitchen for hygiene and food sanitation will be needed. This role is to be the first point of contact for guests when they arrive in the Restaurant, and to provide a high level of fine-dining service.
