Do you have a bad sunburn?  Want to know how to get rid of the redness and pain quickly?
Here are three sunburn remedy tips that you can try at home:

  1. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is cool, soothing, and can alleviate the redness and burning sensation quite rapidly. Aloe Vera is also used to treat other ailments, so it is useful to have a small plant growing at home so that you can always have it on hand when needed. Aloe Vera plants are easy to grow.
From your own plant, the easiest way to treat sunburn is to take several leaves and cut down the middle without cutting them completely in half. Spread the leaves out over the affected area or squeeze the gel out of them and apply to the burn. Aloe Vera gel for sunburn from the store works just as well and is easier for treating larger sunburned areas like your back or chest.

  1. Lavender Oil

The essential oil of lavender is one of the only essential oils that can be applied safely to the skin without having to dilute it with a different oil. Simply apply the lavender oil to the affected area and this will take the sting out of the burn and help it heal quickly.

  1. Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil is commonly used as a sunblock in many tropical areas. What many people do not know is that it can be used as a sunburn treatment. When you get sunburn, your skin loses a lot of natural oils. The use of coconut oil will replenish your natural oils. When you do this it helps to get rid of any discomfort which is what causes your skin to dry and eventually peel after sunburn. The most important ingredient in coconut oil to make the process beneficial is the Lauric Acid (fatty acid), which is also used in many cosmetic products to prevent redness, itching, swelling and other types of irritations to the skin.
