We have all been under some new pressures and stressors lately, it would be nice if we could have gotten a massage, don’t you think? Unfortunately, the very nature of massage makes it difficult to comply with the current physical distancing rules. Rules are beginning to relax and, here in BC, medical massages are available again from Registered Massage Therapists. But the waitlists are long! And perhaps you do not quite feel comfortable being in such close contact with others quite yet.
Readers of “Mental Health Mondays” will remember that we already discussed two of the five things we can do to maintain our mental health during the times of COVID-19 (or during any other time when we have ongoing stress!). For those who have not read it yet, the five things are: creating structure; exercising; practicing mindfulness; practicing gratefulness; and doing relaxation exercises.
