Housekeeping
Housekeeping Supervisor
Details:
Join the Housekeeping team at Sparkling Hill Resort! We have both full-time and part-time positions available for Day & Evening Laundry Attendants.
Job Duties:
- Training new employees according to Sparkling Hill standards.
- Developing and coaching a diverse team of housekeepers.
- Overseeing/assisting in the inventory, storage and control of housekeeping items.
- Ensuring that all lost and found articles are stored properly and correctly logged.
- Ensuring that guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
- Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and employee areas and holding team members accountable for corrective action
- Hands on cleaning in multiple areas and laundry tasks when necessary
- Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by interacting and responding positively with guests and taking immediate actions to resolve problems
- Ensuring that the yearly cleaning projects are completed (deep cleaning)
- Ensure all Work Safe and WHIMS and safety standards are maintained
- Provide orientation, feedback and recognition to all colleagues
- Opening and closing of the department, prepare room attendants daily assignment
- Reporting all maintenance issues
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Housekeeping experience required
- Approachable, positive attitude, self-starter, team player, work under pressure and meet deadlines, lead by example.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Ability to work under pressure and in a demanding, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Must be able to speak and read English

KurSpa
Fitness Coordinator
Details:
We are looking for a passionate, driven, and reliable individual to join the KurSpa Team at Sparkling Hill.
Job Duties:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledgment and responding to their needs and expectations
- Perform fitness and/or therapeutic treatments while maintaining the clients safety and well-being at all times
- Perform 15, 30, 45 and 60 minute fitness and therapeutic treatments
- Accompany guests through -110 degree Celsius Cold Sauna
- Teach fitness classes, guide outdoor walks or hikes, perform personal training or fitness testing
- Development of fitness programs
- Provide various therapies (From previous knowledge or learned through on the job training)
- Maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment is clean and in safe working order
- Actively participate in other areas of Spa Operation such as knowledge and recommendation of other spa treatments
- Ensure awareness of latest fitness trends
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Follow department policies and procedures
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Assist with laundry, reception and cleaning duties as required

Job Duties:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Perform nail, facial and cosmetic services in a safe, comfortable, and hygienic manner, as well as scrubs and wraps, using safe and professional techniques
- Maintain an ample inventory of all products necessary to perform all facial, manicure and pedicure services
- Sell and restock professional all retail products
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way – including tours
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and of all equipment used

Qualifications:

As a KurSpa Practitioner at Sparkling Hill, you will provide guests with relaxation and rejuvenation through our wide range of tension-relieving massages and/or beauty and/or body treatments as per expertise.
Job Duties:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Perform massage and/or beauty and/or body treatments while maintaining the clients comfort at all times
- Perform 30, 45, 60,75 and 90 minute KurSpa treatments
- Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to their needs and expectations
- Maintain an ample supply of massage oils, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the massage work area
- Maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order
- Actively participate in other areas of the Spa Operation such as product knowledge and retail sales
- Ensure awareness of current trends in body treatments
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Attend facility operations department communications meetings.

Maintenance Responder
Reports to: Assistant Maintenance Manager & Maintenance Manager
Join the Maintenance team at Sparkling Hill Resort as a Maintenance Responder! He/she will be a positive, organized individual with a strong work ethic. Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.

Duties will include:
- Perform general clean-up of all facilities.
- Comply with Health and Safety and WHMIS requirements for Personal Protective Equipment.
- Respond to guest requests for maintenance in hotel rooms.
- Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables.
- Clean light fixtures and change light bulbs/tubes.
- Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
- Responsible for vandalism clean up and repair, within skill level.
- Maintain heating and air conditioning systems, thermostats, and other related equipment.
- Maintain working knowledge of environmental safeguards and alarm systems.
- Prepare and set up rooms for meetings or various other activities and clean up afterwards.
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems).
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those as well as any unusual situations to supervisor.
- Prepare, paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to perform small repairs an asset (e.g. caulking, replacing washers, and replacing light fixtures).
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
- Open availability including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation.
