At Sparkling Hill, when we suggest to our guests that they should “go take a hike,” we always mean it in the best possible way. Read on to find out about our hiking trails.

The Okanagan region is home to over 180 wineries, making it a destination location for wine enthusiasts. Enjoy breathtaking views, beautiful patios, and a unique peek into the world of wine. With many wineries offering tours and samplings, exploring some of the local vineyards is also a great way to find new restaurants.
Allow us to (re)introduce ourselves, Sparkling Hill Resort. Learn how we came to be and all the great facilities we have to offer our guests. The history behind Sparkling Hill is an interesting one and we look forward to sharing it with you.
Skin is one of the many ridiculously amazing parts of the human body. While our whole body completely regenerates itself about every 7 years, our largest organ accomplishes that feat in just 27 days on average. Think about that, you are regenerating a whole organ (and the biggest!) in less than a month, continuously!
Welcome to this week’s installment of Wellness Wednesday where KurSpa Manager – Kerry Werner gives us an overview of Aromatherapy 101 and helps us understand where essential oils come from, the different sources and shares a few of her favourite recipes to try at home.
Welcome back to Wellness Wednesdays. The response we have been getting to this weekly blog has been overwhelming! It is wonderful to know so many of you out there are taking the time to give yourselves some self-care, and we thank you for sharing your time with us.
It’s been a while now since we have been able to use public steams, saunas and pools. This week we will focus on why hydrotherapy is so beneficial and how to create some of these treatments at home. If you have been to the KurSpa at Sparkling Hill, you know how great it is to soak in the pools and experience the hot-cold circuits of the Kneipp Waterway and our Steams & Saunas. I myself cannot wait to be able to be a guest again and give this body a reboot!
We have all been under some new pressures and stressors lately, it would be nice if we could have gotten a massage, don’t you think? Unfortunately, the very nature of massage makes it difficult to comply with the current physical distancing rules. Rules are beginning to relax and, here in BC, medical massages are available again from Registered Massage Therapists. But the waitlists are long! And perhaps you do not quite feel comfortable being in such close contact with others quite yet.
Welcome back to Wellness Wednesdays! This week we will continue with some more self-massage, targeting the lower back and hips. This area endures a lot of pressure and is our base. We tend to pay a pretty high price for walking on 2 legs, and the lumbar spine and pelvis take the brunt of it. As always, we will have a look at the anatomy of the area as well as learn how to give it some care.
