Every year when it gets warmer the hiking trails open, BBQ’s come out of the garage and camp fires light up. Everyone can’t wait to get back out in the fresh air, we are met with a tide of bugs that like to sting and bite.

As an alternative to harsh chemicals and sprays here are a few home make recipes to keep the bugs off and make spring an active and healthy season.

First, the great thing about homemade repellents is you can chose what scents you like the most and adapt them to how strong you need. (Note the more essential oil you add the stronger it will be, make sure to test them first to make sure you do not have sensitivity)
Some great oils to use are:

Citronella, Clove, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Cajuput, Eucalyptus, Cedar, Catnip, Lavender, Mint
